  Intermediate Classes
The Intermediate Class is designed for students who wish to expand the depth of their knowledge, and learn more about the Netjeru, the Kemetic religion, and themselves. It is a pre-requisite for those who seek ordination as a Hem Netjer Priest and hope to found their own temples.

Pre-requisite: Completion of the Per Ankh Beginning Class.

Unlike the Beginning Class, the Intermediate Class is freely structured so that you can enter it at any time. The class is geared to be finished (at a minimum) within 1 ½ years, if the student wishes, or can be extended if the student wishes to proceed slowly.

In this program you will:

  • Set achievable personal goals for yourself
  • Discover more about ritual workings
  • Learn about dreams, oracles, and trance work
  • Understand how culture and religion work together
  • Continue to learn more about advanced energy and healing work.
  • Learn the symbology behind the mythology of Kemet.
  • Discover much, much more...about Kemet and yourself...

Elements of the program consist of:

Monthly Private Consultations Each student will have a private consultation (telephone or in-person) with one alternating faculty member each month. This consultation is an opportunity to discuss the student's progress in private practice, personal and external challenges, ask questions, get suggestions and encouragement, and participate in the process of reporting and following one's spiritual path.

At least one week before the consultation, the student will submit their Monthly Report.

Private Practice Each student adds more onto their Private Practice Plan that was created in the Beginning Class. In addition to what the student is already practicing, they will work with advanced rites to the Netjeru, and plan with the faculty two new key elements:
  • Personal Challenge

  • External Challenge

  • Personal Challenge An integral part of a student's Private Practice is a Personal Challenge. Part this experience is to become a person that the student loves and respects. In creating a Personal Challenge, the student will reflect and decide upon a part of their inner selves they wish to change.

The Personal Challenge will be a plan of simple, small, but regular steps to take in the direction of this change, commitment to this plan, and then the implementation.

The faculty must approve of the Personal Challenge, who might discuss and make suggestions to the student about their Personal Challenge and how to help meet it.

External Challenge Most people have a comfort zone from which they do not want to explore beyond. However, an important part of component of any experience is to grow beyond oneself, and to bring together mind, body, and spirit.

To accomplish this goal, the student is expected to create and commit to a plan that makes them learn a skill outside of their usual comfort zone. Examples might include: martial arts, dance, music, form of arts and crafts, skiing, ice-skating, etc.

Each student decides on a course of action, which will be approved by the faculty who might make suggestions.

Monthly Report Continuing in the same vein as the Beginning Class, the student is expected to keep a journal of their experiences and activities. Each month, the student must submit a "Monthly Report" to the teachers. This report is to help the faculty understand where the student is in their studies. It can include anything from: reports of trances/dreams, excerpts of the student journal, experiences of the Netjeru. The student uses this venue to tell the faculty how their personal goals and challenges are being met, any concerns or problems they might have.

The Monthly Report is discussed with the student during their Monthly Private Consultation

Internet interaction Per Ankh sponsors KemetOnline where a special password-protected area is set aside for Per Ankh's classes, where students interact with other students and their teachers in chat rooms and message boards. Students can discuss experiences, support each other, and learn alongside their fellow classmates and teachers.
