  Code of Ethics, part I: Committment
In order to uphold our standards, the Priests of Per Ankh and its Sister Temples commit:

    A.  To maintain a responsible association with Per Ankh and our respective temples;

    B.  To manage our personal lives in a healthful fashion, and to seek any appropriate assistance for our own personal problems or conflicts;

    As such:

    • Priests in a married or unmarried relationship whose partner is not comfortable with polygamy will not engage in relations apart from his/her partner.

    • Priest involved in a relationship with a member must excuse his or herself from any ministry, discussions, or decisions that might affect said member

    • Priests, whose personal problems affect their ability to perform their priestly duties according to Temple standards, can request (or be put on) a leave of absence from their duties. The leave would specify what needed to be accomplished to return to full status

    • Priests Superiors can (in accord with temple policy) request and direct a priest to address particular issues if these problems, in the judgement of the Temple, interfere with a priest's performance. Both superior and affected Priest must agree on a plan to correct the problem.

    C.  To avoid discriminating against or refusing priestly service, educational opportunities, or assistance to anyone on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, or national origin;

    D.  To remain in touch with any new developments in our areas of expertise and ministry.

    All priests, regardless of level or rank, are expected to continue their education and professional growth, including seeking out consultations outside the temple when helpful, accepting supervision by others, and maintaining active participation in their temple and Per Ankh;

    E.  To seek out and engage in collegial relationships within and outside their temple and Per Ankh, and to recognize that isolation from such relationships can lead to a loss of perspective and judgement.

    F.  To assist membership only on issues and in a manner that is within the reasonable boundaries of our competence and approved by the Temple, and to seek out assistance from those more competant if these issues are beyond our means and knowledge;

    G.  To establish and maintain appropriate professional relationship boundaries on all levels of our organization.
