  Code of Ethics, part II: Practices
In all matters, members of the Per Ankh Clergy maintain practices that advance Ma'at:

    A.  We use our knowledge and skills, our prayers and heka, our clerical credentials, and our professional associations for the benefit of the Netjeru and the people whom we serve. We will not use these things to secure an unfair personal advantage for ourselves or others.

    B.  We do not malign members of our Priesthood.

    C.  We clearly state our level and rank of membership, and limit our practice to that level and that level only.

    D.  We live our personal lives in a healthful fashion, and seek any appropriate assistance for our own personal problems or conflicts;

    As such:

    • Priests in a married or unmarried relationship whose partner is not comfortable with polygamy will not engage in relations apart from his/her partner.

    • Priest involved in a relationship with a member must excuse his or herself from any ministry, discussions, or decisions that might affect said member

    • Priests, whose personal problems affect their ability to perform their priestly duties according to Temple standards, can request (or be put on) a leave of absence from their duties. The leave would specify what needed to be accomplished to return to full status

    • Priests Superiors can (in accord with temple policy) request and direct a priest to address particular issues if these problems, in the judgement of the Temple, interfere with a priest's performance. Both superior and affected Priest must agree on a plan to correct the problem.

    E.  We advise our students, our supervisees, and our employees against offering any professional services beyond their training, level of experience, and competence, or presenting themselves as competent to engage in affairs beyond their capabilities.

    F.  Many of our services are free. Any fees and financial arrangements, as with all contractual matters, are to be discussed without hesitation and ambiguity at the onset of the discussion, and all arrangements are to established in a straightforward and professional manner.

    G.  We are committed to render service and training to persons and groups who would be otherwise unable to provide financial compensation.

    H.  We conduct our temple's fiscal affairs with due regard to recognized professional business and accounting procedures, as set forth by the law and common standards.

    I.  We act accordingly when we find another member of the temple clergy is not acting in accordance with this Code of Ethics and the policies and guidelines of Per Ankh.
