Confidentiality in Divination, Pastoral, and Spiritual Counseling
As the Wenwet (Priesthood) of Per Ankh, we respect the integrity and protect the welfare of all persons with whom we are working spiritually. We have a duty maintain confidentiality and are obliged to safeguard information about them that has been obtained in the course of a spiritual counseling or divination process.
A. All records kept on a member are stored or disposed of in a manner that assures confidentiality and security. B. We treat all communications from members with professional confidence, if so requested. C. We do not disclose member confidences to anyone, except: In cases involving more than one person (as client or student) written permission must be obtained from all legally accountable persons who have been present during the counseling before any disclosure can be made. D. We obtain informed written consent from a member before sharing a transcript, or other records of conversations, had in the context of confidentiality, or permitting third party observation of same. E. We do not use these standards of confidentiality to avoid intervention when it is necessary, e.g., when there is evidence of abuse of minors, the elderly, the disabled, the physically or mentally incompetent.
